Operation Prayer Shield
We had an incredible week! I don’t know, but I would venture to say that last week was the greatest single soul-saving endeavor in Metro’s 29 year history! Yesterday was electrified with God’s Holy Spirit! Souls were saved; lives were transformed.
But, I have been reminded of the spiritual warfare associated with our recent incredible spiritual advance in delivering 588 people out of darkness into God’s marvelous light. I expect the enemy to attempt...

Breaking Out of Prison
http://www.springcreekvideo.tv/Shaw.mov
A. Look to Christ for Deliverance from your Prison
1. I Peter 3:19 – “Christ went and preached to those in prison.”
2. Ephesians 4:8 – “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive…”
3. The “first place” Christ preached the good news of redemption after his crucifixion and resurrection was to those “in prison.”
4. As you read the gospel you will rediscover “the truth”...

Sunday, August 23, was a great day! We experienced “AWESOME WORSHIP” on Allan and Kathy’s last day, and a “Tremendous Challenge” from God’s Word to “Re-Focus!” So, let’s refocus our spiritual lives on Living, Giving, and Serving for His Glory! Thank you so much for responding to my “Seed Offering” appeal. Most of you, like me, felt the conviction of the Lord to bless his house and kingdom work. From studying Haggai, I really saw that how “Money Follows Ministry!” Twice the prophet describes the...

Yesterday’s service was great! Chris Griffin’s guitar solo started things out right. Then C.J. led us in some wonderful worship. Then the prophetic word came to me after worship from Hebrews 6:9-18, that God had something better for us! And in the same way that God promised Abraham and swore by himself, God has made the promise of better things to us, and that we have “this hope” as an anchor of our soul; both sure and steadfast. In other words, you can count on God to give you better things, so...

Seth Godin has authored a book entitled, “The Dip.” In his book he points out that every new project, job, hobby, business, or church begins with great excitement, but soon encounters a “DIP”. A dip is defined as a difficult set-back, or low point in the pursuit of anything. He points out that this dip causes many to “quit” and drop the pursuit altogether. Yet, the “Dip” is your secret to success! How?
Instead of quitting and throwing in the towel, he insists that we should never give-up...

Last night, Wednesday, June 24th, Student Pastor Scott Smith informed our students that he and Holly have accepted a new ministerial position at their former church, The Torch, in Demorest, GA. Scott will be the new Associate Pastor there, and will preach and pastor their new Sunday 3:33pm service, along with other pastoral duties. We pray blessings upon Scott and Holly as they embrace this new area of ministry, while we also thank them for their ministry among us these last 10 months. Their...
