Breaking Out of Prison

A. Look to Christ for Deliverance from your Prison

1.       I Peter 3:19 – “Christ went and preached to those in prison.”

2.       Ephesians 4:8 – “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive…”

3.       The “first place” Christ preached the good news of redemption after his crucifixion and resurrection was to those “in prison.”

4.       As you read the gospel you will rediscover “the truth” that will set you free (John 8:23)  

B. Pray For Deliverance

1.       Psalm 69:32 – “The Lord hears the prayer of those in need and does not despise his prisoners.”

2.       Ps. 142:7 – “Bring my soul out of prison that I may praise your name.”  

C. Praise Your Way Out of Prison

1.       Acts 16: 25-26 – And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God and the prisoner’s heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.”

2.       Never underestimate the power of your praise!  

D. Seek God For His Anointing to Break You Out of Prison

1.       Isaiah 61:1 – “The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to…proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of prison to those who are bound.”

2.       Isaiah 10:27 – “…The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

3.       Seek for the Holy Spirit’s anointing and you will come out of your prison!

E. Expert the Supernatural

1.       Acts 5:18-20 – And they put Peter and the apostle with him in prison. But the angel of the Lord at night opened the prison doors and brought them out and said, “Go and stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”

2.       Acts 12:4-7 – An angel released Peter from prison so that he could continue his apostolic mission.

3.       Expect a MIRACLE!
